History

Originally the vision of ex-Royal Australian Air Force and Sport pilot Dave Limmer (CEO), the Proof of Concept TA120TP turboprop engine has been designed and developed over the last 6 years and extensive theoretical and practical design validation tests were completed on that engine in early 2016.

The engine was successfully introduced to Kit Aircraft and Light Sport Aircraft manufacturers at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture event in mid-2016.  The response to the engine was one of overwhelming interest and support.

Incorporating improvements from initial testing of the TA120TP Proof of Concept engine and also innovative technical features that will enhance fuel efficiency and reliability/TBO, Turbine Aeronautics is now undertaking detailed design work on the 200hp TA200TP and plans to manufacture (assemble), supply and fully support the next generation of high-tech turbine engines for the Light/Sport, Experimental Category and Personal Jet Aircraft markets, as well as the Military/Civil Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV/Drone) markets.

The management team have now completed detailed business and operational planning with initial deliveries of the TA200TP engine expected to be during calendar Q3 2020.

Deliveries of the 300hp TA300TP turboprop engine are planned to commence calendar Q2 2021, while the 120hp TA120TP first deliveries are anticipated to be calendar Q4 2021.
